Landmark Statler Hotel Completed

October 18, 2017

The Hill & Wilkinson team recently completed renovation work on the historic Statler Hotel and the Old Dallas Central Library in downtown Dallas.

The 19-story Statler, with two basement levels and the abutting three-story library, were built concurrently in 1955 and are commonly considered to be the finest mid-century block of architecture in the city as well as in the State of Texas.

The project included complete restoration of the buildings’ exteriors and the conversion of the upper 11 stories into approximately 229 luxury residential units. The five middle stories were converted into approximately 164 four-star, boutique hotel rooms and the two lower floors were converted into ballrooms, meeting rooms, hotel services, lobbies, a restaurant and retail space.
