In February 2023 we had the privilege of beginning a renovation for Shoreline City Church. With the help of our friends at Parkhill and our key trade partners, we reimagined and transformed a building completed in the early 1980s into a modern, bright, and energetic space with exceptional quality for the people of Shoreline to worship and congregate. This 120,000 sf space included a NextGen Kids’ area, dedicated AVL areas, an indoor playground, a renovated café, common spaces, and a worship venue.
In the worship space, our focused efforts ensured that those sitting near the stage or on the upper balcony still had an outstanding view and sound quality. Parkhill, along with Shoreline, did a wonderful job of utilizing the existing layout of the building into the new design to find ways to repurpose existing walls and infrastructure so that more resources could be dedicated to the vision for aesthetics and experience.
Utilizing the IPD delivery method and lean tools, Shoreline Church was able to move in almost two months earlier than the original substantial completion date, allowing them to not only hold their Christmas service in the new building but also to move in as early as November 2023.
From the very beginning, our team wanted to build the church into something more than a new building- a new home for Shoreline Church’s growing congregation. Between zero OSHA recordable cases, turning the project over early and under budget, and most importantly, the relationships made, this project was a success. A big thank you to Shoreline City Church for entrusting us with your church home!
