Committed to Attracting and Retaining a Diverse Workforce

Women Breaking Ground

Women are valuable assets in all facets of construction although they are still a minority demographic in the industry. We want to entice future generations to consider a career in the exciting industry of construction to move that needle along with supporting and investing in our current female talent. Establishing the Women Breaking Ground group became the formal network to focus on these goals. The WBG group fosters personal and professional relationship building through book club meetings, happy hours, panel discussions, and various team-building events.

Cristo Rey

Hill & Wilkinson has been proud to partner with Cristo Rey in their Corporate Work Study program since 2018.

This program is dear to our heart and directly aligns with our value to be active in our community and support causes that do good.

Our intention and mission is to pour into our Cristo Rey interns by providing real life work skills and fostering mentoring relationships. Our Cristo Rey interns have become fully integrated and contributing members within their departments and have provided opportunities for our department managers to grow in their leadership skills.

We are very proud to welcome a former Cristo Rey senior to our H&W family as a part-time employee while she attends college. She will continue to perform the job functions she learned during her internship as well as act as a mentor to incoming Cristo Rey interns.

We have gained just as much as we have given during this partnership experience and look forward to what the continued relationship will bring.

DE&I Committee

The DE&I committee was formed to foster accountability and awareness around our intention to expand our inherent culture of inclusiveness.

The committee is made up of H&W culture leaders passionate about deepening our impact within our current work family as well as widening our reach in our communities and future H&W generations.
