Our Leadership
For over half a century, Hill & Wilkinson has had a succession of leaders who believe in doing things the right way and leading by example. The standards first set by our founder, Luther Hill, have been carried on in a second and third generation of leadership, and the values on which he founded the company have never been forgotten.
- Northern Michigan University
Mike Oswald began his career at Hill & Wilkinson in 2004, holding several leadership positions before being named Chief Operating Officer in 2016, where he managed the field operations for all the company’s divisions, and then Chief Executive Officer in 2024.
Mike is an alumni of Northern Michigan University, actively serving on the NMU Construction Management Advisory Board and NMU Foundation Board. Throughout his career, he has achieved several awards including being named an ENR Top Young Professional and an NMU Outstanding Young Alumni.
- While at NMU, he was awarded a varsity letter in football and was a two-time Academic All-American.
- In the rare spare time afforded him while raising three young girls, Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, and golf.
As the Chief Financial Officer for Hill & Wilkinson, Cyndi is responsible for the company’s finance functions including accounting, audit, treasury, and corporate finance. Her career spans more than 30 years of varied experience in financial management and business leadership for both private and public companies.
Cyndi has worked in a variety of different industries during her career, but she considers the construction industry to be the most fulfilling.
- Cyndi completed a full Ironman in Cozumel (140.6 miles in 14:10 hours).
- Outside of the office, Cyndi enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
- Louisiana Tech University
As Chief Business Officer, Peyton is in charge of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Peyton has been with H&W for over 20 years and has played a significant role in the explosive growth of the company’s commercial work with projects like Cawley Partners HQ53, Bent Tree Country Club’s new clubhouse, and Louis Vuitton’s Campus Expansion in Alvarado, Texas.
- Peyton enjoys all things outdoors including fishing, hunting, and golf.
- At Louisiana Tech, Peyton was a golf team Letterman from 1992-1994.
- Peyton is a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and serves on the Board of the Ronald McDonald House.
- Northern Michigan University
As President, Matt has overall responsibility for the people and culture of the company. He will focus on talent acquisition, training and development, and communicating Hill & Wilkinson’s Values and Ways. He has been with the company for over 18 years and has previously served as a project engineer, group manager, and executive vice president.
His previous role was Executive Vice President over the Special Project Division, which works with a wide range of budgets and project complexities and serves over half a dozen industries from food and beverage to institutional. Under Matt’s leadership, the division grew to the largest volume in its history.
- Matt has a passion for rocking chairs! Matt can be seen from jobsite construction trailers to the board room energetically rocking in his chair.
- Texas A&M University
As Chief Operating Officer, Matt oversees field operations for all of the company’s divisions.
Matt has been with H&W for more than 22 years and has been a champion of its unique culture and family feel.
- In his free time, Matt most enjoys taking the family RV to tailgate at Aggie football games and visiting new vacation spots.
- North Dakota State University
Throughout his 40 years with the firm, Paul has served in a wide range of positions including estimator, project engineer, project manager, senior project manager, group manager, vice president, and CEO. His progression to a leadership position has given him a unique perspective on the importance of happy employees and a tight-knit culture. Additionally, Paul’s lead-by-example approach continues to influence the firm’s major initiatives including the wellness program, employee recognition, communication, and training.
Paul is a graduate of the FMI Leadership Institute and Dixon Motivational Management program on “Building a Winning Team.”
- While in high school, Paul's first construction job was pulling wire for Kramer Electric in Fargo, North Dakota.
- Paul is known as one of the best pecan pie makers in Dallas with a list of requests for pies that grows every holiday season.
- Texas A&M University
Steve graduated from Texas A&M University and began his construction career in 1987. He joined Hill & Wilkinson in 1999 as a project manager. After demonstrating unique leadership abilities and a commitment to the company’s core values, Steve advanced from group manager to executive vice president.
In his current capacity, he serves as the Director of Scheduling and Quality Control, responsible for the executive oversight of all project scheduling and all project QA/QC management. He has mentored several Hill & Wilkinson employees to advance their skill set and their leadership abilities.
- Steve always considered himself a "wannabe" college basketball player, but he managed to score big when he married an NCAA Division 1 collegiate star.
- The University of Texas
With more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Steve has overall responsibility for the business operations of the company, including contracts, subcontracts, dispute resolution, and corporate administration.
Steve started his career in the field as a construction tech on various project sites. His background includes serving in such roles as project engineer, estimator, project administrator, project manager, and vice president. He received his engineering degree from the University of Texas Cockrell School of Engineering and his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He is also a graduate of the University of Texas Executive General Management program and the Southern Methodist University TGCF Leadership Institute.
- Steve participated in the DRC Leadership Dallas program and was one of the original founders of the Leadership Dallas Alumni Community Day.
- As part of his desire to give back, he enjoys teaching a course as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University.
Project Development
- Texas A&M University
In his role as Executive Vice President of Project Development for the Institutional division, Paul focuses primarily on creating and maintaining client relationships while also supporting the functions of the preconstruction group. He also oversees and supports all of the needs of the marketing department. Paul is a 24-year veteran of the company who began his career with Hill & Wilkinson just weeks removed from finishing at Texas A&M University, and has since had the opportunity to gain valuable experience as a project engineer, project manager, estimator, and director of preconstruction.
- Paul began a passion for outdoor cooking several years ago and considers himself a Kamado Joe junkie – he’s always up for trying out something new on the smoker.
- As time allows outside of raising two daughters, Paul enjoys all things outdoors, travel, live music, and Aggie athletics.
Safety & Risk Management
- Louisiana Tech University
As Vice President of Safety and Risk Management, Bill directs and manages the company’s safety and risk management programs. He works with safety managers, coordinators, and project teams on standards and compliance and is responsible for overall company performance. He also coordinates with insurance carriers regarding renewals and manages any resulting claims.
Bill’s passion for ensuring that every employee makes it safely home to their families every day has significantly raised the bar on the company’s safety education and procedures.
- In his spare time, Bill serves as a statistician for a high school football team.

As Executive Vice President, Jeff focuses on the overall growth of the company by supporting existing markets as well as developing new markets, technologies, and processes. His responsibilities include assisting owners with innovative project solutions from initial programming and analysis through design and construction.
Jeff grew up in Alaska and began his construction career in the oilfields of Prudhoe Bay welding high density polyethylene liner systems. He later graduated from Texas A&M and joined Hill & Wilkinson in 1991 as an intern. Jeff held subsequent positions as project engineer, estimator, senior estimator, chief estimator, and senior vice president.
- In his spare time, Jeff enjoys working on the frame-off restoration and customization of his 1961 Willys Traveller.

Max began his career at Hill & Wilkinson as an intern in 1998. Upon his graduation in 2000, he started as a Project Engineer and worked his way through the ranks to the role of Vice President – Division Manager and now Executive Vice President. Max has been instrumental in maintaining strong relationships for the municipal group as well as the growth of the healthcare division at Hill & Wilkinson.
- Max has been involved with competitive sailing since he was 12 years old. He was on the A&M University sailing team in college and now enjoys sharing that life-long passion with his children.
- The University of Texas at Austin
As Vice President Regional Manager, Kristy leads Hill & Wilkinson’s Central Texas Office which has been serving Austin and the surrounding areas for 10 years. With over 23 years in the construction industry and many different positions within the company, she has a depth of experience that is a rare find. The vast majority of her career has been focused in preconstruction helping clients from very early stages in the planning process get their projects designed efficiently and within budget.
Kristy is passionate about working with people and developing lasting relationships with clients. She also loves seeing how the projects she works on impact the community.
- As a Certified Cherokee Indian, Kristy enjoys volunteering for Austin ISD's American Indian Education Program.
- Kristy is a very loyal fan of UT Austin football. Hook 'em horns!
- The Citadel Military College of South Carolina
Matt has been in the industry for 17 years, with H&W for almost 15 years, and has been actively involved in the growth of our K-12 group. He graduated from The Citadel Military College of South Carolina. Matt enjoys working in K-12 construction where he has the opportunity to give back to the DFW communities.
- Matt has a passion for bourbon and the science behind each flavor’s uniqueness. If he’s not competing in a fitness competition, spending time with his wife, or wrestling his three kids, you can likely find him enjoying a pour of whatever the flavor of the month is.
- He loves the spirit of competition and is currently on a fitness journey, constantly in pursuit of ways to test his limits.
- He enjoys the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, golfing, etc.
- Arizona State University
Sergio has been in the construction industry for nearly two decades. He has been in roles ranging from Office Engineer, Assistant Estimator, Estimator, Senior Estimator, Chief Estimator, to now Vice President. Sergio’s focus on estimating has been in the commercial, healthcare, and hospitality industries. He has a proven track record of successful projects that are within budget and on time. He brings much experience in cost management to maintain project integrity and appearance while achieving client goals.
- In Sergio’s spare time, you can catch him at the hockey rink with his children between games and practices.
- When Sergio has some down time, he enjoys going on cruises with his family.
- Decked out in maroon and gold, Sergio can turn any conversation into a spirited discussion about the latest Arizona State football game.
Commercial
- Oklahoma University
As Vice President – Division Manager, Coty’s overall responsibilities are to oversee projects, team members, and to help maintain and build client relationships from estimation to building completion.
Coty has been with the company 13 years and has previously served as Project Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Project Executive. Coty’s operational efficiencies have helped the division maintain its growth, and he takes pride in the buildings his division has completed across Texas.
- Coty originally completed a degree in horticulture before finishing his construction degree, and might randomly quiz his plant knowledge if provoked.
- In his spare time Coty loves to be outside, playing as much golf as possible, and spending weekends on the water at the lake with his family.
- Northern Michigan University
Danny has been with Hill & Wilkinson for 15 years and has played a significant role in the growth of our manufacturing division. He joined H&W as an intern in 2008 and has a desire to learn as much as possible about construction systems and methods. His enthusiasm has taken him from Project Engineer to Project Executive, working in all of our divisions, and now landing him as Vice President. He enjoys working in our Manufacturing Division because of the complex projects, high energy, and fast-paced atmosphere.
- Danny enjoys working in his garage and on DIY projects around the house. He, his father, and two brothers built an addition to their family home in Michigan.
- He cooks on his grill every day and considers himself a steak connoisseur.
- He enjoys golfing and watching football.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Camille leads the HR team dedicated to supporting the employees of Hill & Wilkinson. She oversees all employee-relation functions and community involvement initiatives and has more than 15 years of experience in human resources and benefits. Camille is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.
- On the weekends, Camille can be found around the metroplex in one sport complex or another, rooting for and cheering on her two boys.
- Camille loves a good estate sale or mosey through a thrift shop with an iced coffee in hand.
Preconstruction Services
- Texas A&M University
As Vice President of Preconstruction Services, David manages risk, ensures consistency and quality of estimating procedures, develops staff, and monitors overall preconstruction needs across all divisions.
David has been with the company for over 18 years and has played an integral role in the growth of the preconstruction group to a staff of over 20 people.
- David enjoys spending time with family doing almost anything, but particularly enjoys serving at his church, attending sporting events, and traveling.
Technology
- Texas A&M University
David has over 30 years of experience in the industry and began his career in home building and architecture before moving on to construction management for Hill & Wilkinson in 1997. He started at the firm as a Project Engineer and worked his way through the ranks holding titles including Project Manager and Vice President – Group Manager of Manufacturing, and was promoted to his current role of Vice President of Technology.
As Vice President of Technology, David oversees research and deployment of all aspects of construction technology, data analytics, software acquisition and maintenance, websites, and the drone program.
- David has a private pilots license and can fly single engine aircraft.
Institutional
- Auburn University
As Vice President of Preconstruction Services, Jeff manages risk, ensures consistency and quality of estimating procedures, develops staff, and monitors the overall preconstruction needs of the institutional division.
Jeff has been with the company for almost ten years and has played an integral role in the growth of the institutional group.
- Jeff’s first job in construction was for his dad’s company when he was 11 years old. He made $1.00 per hour.
- Jeff has worked in all major roles in construction, which gives him broad insight into the preconstruction process.
- In addition to work, Jeff loves golf, fishing, baseball, his family, and Jesus Christ hopefully (keeping them in the proper order, he adds!).
Preconstruction Services

Prama joined Hill & Wilkinson in 2004 and has played a key role in the growth of the preconstruction group. She has helped grow the Special Projects division since 2010, with a focus on new client and trade partner relationships. As Vice President of Preconstruction Services, Prama will work with her peers to manage risk, ensure consistency and quality of estimating procedures, develop staff, and monitor overall preconstruction needs within the Municipal and Special Projects divisions.
- Prama started her karate journey in 2020 and hopes to be a black belt by 2026.
- She loves a good magic show and dabbles in magic from time to time.
- She loves doing anything outdoors with her son.
Subcontract Administration
- Stephen F. Austin State University
As Vice President – Subcontract Administration, Marie is responsible for the overall leadership of Subcontract Administration for all Divisions. She helps guide the Subcontract Managers with the subcontract processes and assists the legal department. Being with Hill & Wilkinson for over 29 years, she strives to encourage and maintain our family atmosphere.
- Marie is one of 13 children, and she enjoys spending time with her siblings and many nieces and nephews.

Prior to joining the Hill & Wilkinson Team, Jim served in the United States Air Force as a Civil Engineering Officer for four years and achieved the rank of Captain. Jim began his career at Hill & Wilkinson as a Project Engineer in January of 1999 and worked his way through the ranks to his current role of Vice President for the Municipal Group. He is responsible for the oversight of projects and client relationships associated with the Municipal group.
- Jim was one of the original founding members of Hill & Wilkinson’s Fun Committee in 2001 created to help boost morale within the company following the tragic events of 9/11. The Fun Committee has continued to grow and is a big part of why Hill & Wilkinson continues to be selected as one of the best places to work in the DFW area by the Dallas Morning News and Dallas Business Journal year after year.
- In his spare time, Jim loves spending as much time as possible with his family and friends.
Danny joined the construction industry in 2000 and has been with H&W for three years, in which he has contributed to the growth of our religious and higher education groups. He has served as Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, and now Vice President, where he provides leadership for the preconstruction and field construction teams, as well as project managers, superintendents, and project engineers.
Danny also leads our Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) projects and supports the implementation of lean tools and processes for various projects company-wide.
- Danny has been coaching his youngest son’s basketball team since 2020.
- His family enjoys traveling and goes often as their schedules allow. Some of their favorite locations are the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, Cayman Brac, The Great Sequoias, Yosemite, and Yellowstone.
- Danny loves fly fishing and does it as often as he can. When his family lived in Fayetteville, AR, you could find him at Roaring River, Missouri almost every weekend in the winter.
- Danny has worked on construction projects across the country including Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Delaware.
Central Texas Division
- Texas A&M University
As Central Texas Vice President of Operations, Ryan is responsible for field operations and relationships with Central Texas clients. He is also very involved with strategic growth planning in Central Texas and new markets throughout Texas. Ryan is passionate about Hill & Wilkinson’s culture and helping each staff member and client find success.
Ryan serves on the Executive Leadership Board for the Austin Chapter of the Associated General Contractors, and is active in Hill Country Conservancy and Austin Regional Manufacturing Association.
- Ryan enjoys camping several times a year (if air conditioning is available) with his wife and four children in Texas State Parks.
- Ryan is a newly addicted fly fisherman and loves time in Colorado.
Fort Worth Office
- Texas Tech University
As Vice President Regional Manager of the Fort Worth Office, Zach focuses on growing Hill & Wilkinson’s footprint on the west side of the DFW metroplex. He has been in the construction industry for 18 years with several of those years focused on public sector projects. Zach has led efforts in marketing, business development, estimating, and talent development. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University, where he earned a degree in Management.
- Zach is the proud father of four children. He enjoys cooking barbeque for his family and working on his 100-year-old house.
Hospitality, Senior Living, Historical
- Tennessee Technological University
Ty joined the construction industry in 1996 and has been with Hill & Wilkinson since 2015. With a focus in hospitality and historical work, Ty has served as a Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, and Vice President. His current responsibilities include the oversight of the projects and clients associated with his division, as well as personnel including the project managers, superintendents, and project engineers.
- Ty loves to travel and spend time with his family. When not doing that, he spends his free time riding his motorcycle.
