L-3 Communications Building 645

This project is a 70,000 sf, three-story laboratory and communications building on a highly secure campus. This facility is sandwiched between two hangars on an active flight line. Extensive logistics planning allows for movement of aircraft over and around sections of the jobsite with minimal notice.

The façade is a combination of load bearing tilt-wall panels, curtainwall, ribbon windows, and composite metal panels with specific attention paid to acoustical performance due to the adjacent flight line.

The interiors include multiple lab configurations for the research, development, and testing of critical aviation communication systems with active aircraft on the adjacent flight line.
