This project is a 8,000 sf, Tier IV data center serving global financial, operational, and customer service needs on a research/development/manufacturing campus of over 1,000,000 sf. The facility included 4,500 sf of raised floor and a 3,500 sf utility, chiller, and generator yard.
The building shell has fully-grouted CMU walls with a brick veneer, supported by a structural steel frame. The roof system is a composite system with a concrete ballast slab. This hardened shell is capable of withstanding an F3 tornado (winds of 175 miles-per-hour).
The data center power feed comes from a main central plant which has stand-alone substation back-up and a 750 KV generator back-up for the data center. The building provides 150 watts per square foot.
