This project is a 14,000 sf baggage handling building and a structural steel bridge to carry the conveyor system over the existing receiving dock. All work was coordinated around maintaining the active loading dock and flight operations out of gates 1 and 2. The project also included the relocation of the AOA perimeter fence, the addition of an IDF closet to accommodate security, and access control upgrades. The project effectively doubled the capacity of the existing outbound baggage system.
Phase 2 included the installation of a baggage matrix, a remodeled EDS room with three CTX machines, a CBRA area, an OSR room, and modifications to the existing conveyor system.
