This project is a 80,000 sf hangar facility at Dallas Love Field Airport. The full-service maintenance hangar has the capacity to house four Boeing 737-700’s with one 210-foot door and one 110-foot clear door. Custom gates were installed to allow planes to be taken through the construction site to the existing hangar during the entire duration of this project.
The project included the demolition of a two-bay hangar and relocation of existing AFFF system. This required precise construction phasing to isolate power to the adjacent facilities, demolish the existing hangar, and build the new hangar while keeping the other hangars and office fully operational. The project was completed on-time and under budget.
