H&W Awarded for Culture of Care

We’re excited to announce that H&W was honored at the AGC National Convention, receiving the Culture of CARE Award for Retention and Belonging during the award’s inaugural year.

The Culture of CARE Award is a national recognition program administered by the AGC of America that honors construction companies demonstrating a strong, intentional commitment to creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.

Hill & Wilkinson was selected as the winner in the Retention & Belonging category. This award recognizes organizations that go beyond policies and programs to show measurable, authentic impact on employee experience, engagement, and retention.

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it isn’t about a single initiative or program. It’s about how we treat one another, on jobsites, in offices, in meetings, and in everyday interactions.

“Our culture is built by our people,” said Matt Shem, President. “This award reflects the way our teams show up for each other every day, with integrity, respect, and care. It belongs to our employees.”

This recognition celebrates our dedication to creating a workplace where employees feel valued, respected, and truly connected. Our people make our culture what it is, and this award belongs to them!
