Fritz was born in El Paso, Texas in 1951. He received a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas – El Paso in 1973.
He began his career at Daniel Construction where he rose from Project Engineer to Senior Project Manager building complex manufacturing facilities across the country.
In 1985, Fritz partnered with Greg Wilkinson to purchase Luther Hill & Associates and created Hill & Wilkinson. Under Fritz’s leadership and operational background, the company grew steadily. Fritz was instrumental in recruiting and developing highly skilled field teams and a culture of safety that became the foundation of Hill & Wilkinson’s operations today.
Fritz genuinely cared for our field operations teams. He began an effort to improve the working environment for every person on the jobsite, from clean bathrooms and hand washing stations to craft training and advancement opportunities. He knew the name of every laborer on site and treated them with the same respect as he would a top executive.
Fritz retired to Telluride, Colorado in 2019 with his wife Kathy.
Fritz enjoys all types of skiing, including heliskiing, which involves jumping out of a helicopter and skiing down the mountain.
