Hill & Wilkinson is proud to add Brackenridge Hall at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas, to our portfolio of higher education projects. TWU envisioned a “one-stop shop” where students could access all the services that support their academic journey. We had the privilege of bringing that vision to life through a 75,000-sf renovation of the student center—completed on an active campus with minimal disruption during the school year. This milestone project holds deep significance for the TWU community, as expressed by TWU Director of Planning, Design, & Construction, Alex Thomas.
“Working on campus in a higher education environment is very challenging, and Hill & Wilkinson did a really good job navigating those risks,” said Alex. “They were able to forecast those challenges and really put us in a place where we could succeed. This project was a home run for us.”
The student center renovation included office, common spaces, and a campus bookstore, as well as other refreshes.
“It’s always great when a GC will come to you with an RFI and then say, ‘Oh, and also, I have a solution for that,” shared PBK Associate Principal, Steven Cox. “Communication is key when it comes to making sure everything runs smoothly, and they’re great at that.”
In the past 10 years alone, Hill & Wilkinson has served 22 higher education campuses and completed 3M+ sf, totaling over 40 projects. We take great pride in helping shape the institutions that educate and inspire the next generation.
